Walk for Life today at 10 AM

The 26th Annual “Walk for Life” will be held Saturday, January 26th, beginning at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church on South Union Street in Opelousas.

The Walk begins at 10:00 AM with a short program, and proceeds to the New Life Center on East Landry, ending approximately at noon. The Walk is held to promote public awareness of the tragedy of abortion and its aftermath, and to foster alternatives that respect the dignity and worth of every human being created by God. We encourage families of all faiths to participate, and we welcome clubs, youth groups, and other organizations to come take a stand FOR LIFE! Please no children under 13 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, and also to emphasize that this is a solemn event. Please do not bring skates, skateboards, or scooters. However, wagons or strollers for young children are welcomed. If you cannot walk with us, please consider joining us for the program in Church. For more information, call John/Jeri Miller at 948-9559. Please be aware that you will need to provide your own transportation back to the Church.
